Enhanced Soils & Drippers.

Grave Digger® products are built for whitetail hunters looking for persistent, realistic scrapes that stay active between sits.

Most deer scents are gone the moment conditions change. Grave Digger® soils work differently. The TRS® (Time Released Scent) formula binds scent to actual soil so it stays active for up to 30 days after application, and moisture, whether rain or morning dew, reactivates and pushes fresh odor to the surface. The result is a scrape that keeps producing long after you’ve left the woods, even in freezing conditions.

Both the soil and dripper formats use single-source urine collected under the From One Deer to One Bottle® process and are RT-QuIC tested and RHSA DPP certified, so you get the same CWD safety standards as the rest of the Code Blue lineup. Use the soils to build or refresh a scrape that holds scent for weeks, and add a dripper overhead for continuous, hands-free presentation throughout your sit.

  • Grave Digger® Scrape Mate® is a 12 oz. soil formula impregnated with Scrape Mate®, a blend of single-source buck urine and tarsal gland scent. It functions as a curiosity scent in early and late season and an infringement trigger during peak rut, staying active up to 30 days per application.
  • Grave Digger® Doe Estrous uses the same TRS® soil formula loaded with doe estrous scent for peak-rut scrape work. Pour it into an active or mock scrape to create an estrous signal that holds and rebuilds with each rainfall instead of evaporating after a few hours.
  • Grave Digger® Doe Estrous Dripper is a 2 fl. oz. adjustable dripper bag containing single-source doe estrous urine. Hang it over your Grave Digger® soil scrape to add a continuous overhead drip throughout your sit or carry it on your walk in to build a scent trail directly to your stand.
  • Grave Digger® Scrape Mate® Dripper pairs with the Scrape Mate® soil for pre-rut and early-rut setups focused on buck-on-buck competition and territorial response. Combine it with the Scrape Mate® soil for a complete two-layer setup that works from the ground up.

FAQ

What is Grave Digger® and how does it differ from liquid deer scents?

Grave Digger® is a line of scent-impregnated soils and adjustable dripper bags designed specifically for scrape hunting. Unlike liquid scents that evaporate quickly or wash away after rain, the Grave Digger® soil formula uses TRS® (Time Released Scent) technology to bind scent into the soil itself. Moisture reactivates the scent and pushes it back to the surface, keeping the scrape productive for up to 30 days per application. For liquid scent options that pair with Grave Digger® in a complete scrape setup, see the Code Blue scent line.

How do I apply Grave Digger® soil to a scrape?

Use the heel of your boot to dig a small hole in the center of your existing or mock scrape. Pour the bottle into the hole and pack it firmly with your boot to lock the scent-impregnated soil into the ground. Then pour the remaining soil on top so the scrape emits an immediate odor. Rain and dew will continue to reactivate the scent below the surface for up to 30 days. For the full instructional breakdown, visit the Grave Digger® Scrape Mate® product page.

What is the difference between Grave Digger® Scrape Mate® and Grave Digger® Doe Estrous?

Both are 12 oz. TRS® soil products at the same price point, but they target different buck responses. Grave Digger® Scrape Mate® is impregnated with buck urine and tarsal gland scent, which triggers territorial and curious responses from other bucks. It works across early, mid, and late season. Grave Digger® Doe Estrous is loaded with estrous scent to target rutting bucks during mid and late season when breeding activity peaks. Many hunters use both together, layering Scrape Mate earlier in the season and adding Doe Estrous as the rut approaches.

How do the Grave Digger® drippers work and how do they pair with the soil products?

The Grave Digger® Doe Estrous Dripper and Scrape Mate® Dripper are 2 fl. oz. opaque plastic bags with an adjustable dial that controls drip rate. Hang one on a branch directly over your soil-treated scrape to add a continuous, hands-free overhead scent drip that keeps fresh odor falling into the scrape throughout your sit. The dripper can also be carried in hand during your walk to the stand to create a scent trail. Used together, the soil and matching dripper create a layered setup that covers both ground-level and overhead scent delivery.

What other Code Blue products pair well with Grave Digger® for a complete scrape setup?

For a full mock scrape system, add a licking branch element above the scrape using products from the Code Blue scent line, such as Rack Rub® gel applied to a branch or rope. Pair with D/CODE® Scent Elimination to reduce your odor signature while setting up and approaching the site. For tips on running a scrape-based strategy from start to finish, the Code Blue Blog covers tactics and setup guides in detail.
